Steve Dolson is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. He serves as a clinician at Harbourside Family Counseling Centre where he offers evidence-based treatment approaches for individuals affected by a wide variety of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, developmental and learning disabilities, and life concerns. Steve has extensive experience in a wide variety of settings working with persons with and without developmental disabilities, and blends a cognitive behavioural and life skills approach to clients unique needs. Steve’s client-centered approach is influenced by the mind-body connection and cognitive behaviour treatment modalities.
Steve is the facilitator S.H.A.P.E.-Sexual Health and Proactive Education- a program that educates youth with developmental disabilities about sexual health, personal safety, and relationships. Steve teaches S.H.A.P.E. to both groups and individuals, in schools and at the HFCC Centre.
